介紹英國著名景點“巨石陣”,簡單了解它的形狀,誰建造了巨石陣,建造的原因,目的,及歷史學(xué)家的對巨石陣不同的觀點。通過閱讀課文,激發(fā)學(xué)生對秘密勇于探索、認(rèn)真分析的科學(xué)精神,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生正確的價值觀。
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo) 一 教學(xué)目標(biāo) 1. 語言知識目標(biāo):
1) 能掌握以下單詞:UFO, alien, run after, suit, express, not only...but also..., circle, Britain, receive, leader, midsummer, medical, prevent, energy, position, burial, honor, ancestor, victory, enemy, period 2) 能掌握以下重難句子:
① For many years, historians believed Stonehenge was a temple where ancient leaders tried to communicate with the gods. ② The large stones were put together in a certain way.
③ As you walk there, you can feel the energy from your feet move up your body. 2. 情感態(tài)度價值觀目標(biāo):
通過PPT和老師的引導(dǎo),讓學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)英國巨石陣的知識,激發(fā)學(xué)生對“巨石陣之謎”的興趣, 培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對事物的探索精神。不信謠,不傳謠。

九、教學(xué)反思
本節(jié)課課堂反響不錯。小組競賽貫穿整節(jié)課,最后評選出最佳小組,學(xué)生們的參與、競爭意識很強,積極性很高。一開始我在Warming up部分組織學(xué)生觀看了一個關(guān)于巨石陣的視頻,調(diào)動了學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情和對巨石陣的興趣 。skimming部分讓學(xué)生找出關(guān)于巨石陣的信息,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生閱讀的能力。Careful reading部分讓學(xué)生總結(jié)各段的段意,使學(xué)習(xí)更理解了課文。Post-reading做練習(xí)。結(jié)合時事開展小組合作、探究,鼓勵學(xué)生大膽開口說英語。課后安排學(xué)生將討論的結(jié)果寫一份報告,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的寫作能力。這節(jié)課也有不足之處。因為課文比較長,內(nèi)容有點多又是科普性文章,留給學(xué)生朗讀的時間不夠充分。再者,在Discussion環(huán)節(jié)中學(xué)生的反應(yīng)不太理想,積極踴躍表演的小組有限,由此可見,學(xué)生的英語表達能力有待進一步提高。
