一、教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析 
介紹英國著名景點“巨石陣”，簡單了解它的形狀，誰建造了巨石陣，建造的原因，目的，及歷史學(xué)家的對巨石陣不同的觀點。通過閱讀課文，激發(fā)學(xué)生對秘密勇于探索、認(rèn)真分析的科學(xué)精神，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生正確的價值觀。 
  
二、教學(xué)目標(biāo)   一 教學(xué)目標(biāo) 1. 語言知識目標(biāo)： 
1) 能掌握以下單詞：UFO, alien, run after, suit, express, not only...but also..., circle, Britain, receive, leader, midsummer, medical, prevent, energy, position, burial, honor, ancestor, victory, enemy, period  2) 能掌握以下重難句子： 
① For many years, historians believed Stonehenge was a temple where ancient        leaders tried to communicate with the gods. ② The large stones were put together in a certain way.

九、教學(xué)反思 
本節(jié)課課堂反響不錯。小組競賽貫穿整節(jié)課，最后評選出最佳小組，學(xué)生們的參與、競爭意識很強，積極性很高。一開始我在Warming up部分組織學(xué)生觀看了一個關(guān)于巨石陣的視頻，調(diào)動了學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)熱情和對巨石陣的興趣 。skimming部分讓學(xué)生找出關(guān)于巨石陣的信息，訓(xùn)練學(xué)生閱讀的能力。Careful reading部分讓學(xué)生總結(jié)各段的段意，使學(xué)習(xí)更理解了課文。Post-reading做練習(xí)。結(jié)合時事開展小組合作、探究，鼓勵學(xué)生大膽開口說英語。課后安排學(xué)生將討論的結(jié)果寫一份報告，訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的寫作能力。這節(jié)課也有不足之處。因為課文比較長，內(nèi)容有點多又是科普性文章，留給學(xué)生朗讀的時間不夠充分。再者，在Discussion環(huán)節(jié)中學(xué)生的反應(yīng)不太理想，積極踴躍表演的小組有限，由此可見，學(xué)生的英語表達能力有待進一步提高。
