一、Teaching aims and learning objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to
1. Know the importance of adverbials of time and contexts.
2. Use different tenses correctly according to adverbials of time and contexts. 3. Finish their written exercises better than before. 二、Teaching procedures: Step1. Warming up
1. Make a brief introduction, using different tenses.
2. Let students know that we use different tenses according to the adverbials of
time and the context. Step2. Revising tenses according to adverbials of time
1. Help them remember the names of the six tenses.
2. Have a revision of the tenses, and encourage students to give examples of
some adverbials of time which we often use in different tenses. 3. Do some exercises to consolidate. Step3. Revising tenses according to contexts
1. Look at an example. Let students know that we can use the contexts to help
us decide which tense to use. 2. Do some exercises, and then check the answers. Explain the difficulties. Step4. Conclusion
Adverbials of time and contexts are always important. In one passage, there may be more than one tense used. Step5. Writing
Use the information to write an article about your school. Show one or two articles to discuss together. Step6. Homework
1. Finish your composition.
2. Finish the exercises on Page 86-88 in your exercise book.
