It is the last period of Unit 4, Grade 8 of Go for it.The language goal is to enable students to use superlatives to describe best things or places by listening, speaking, reading and writing.(本課是人教版新目標(biāo)八年級(jí)上冊(cè)第四單元的最后一課時(shí),最高級(jí)的復(fù)習(xí)課,要求學(xué)生在熟練掌握形容詞和副詞的最高級(jí)用法的同時(shí),會(huì)進(jìn)行寫(xiě)作輸出,描述一個(gè)你認(rèn)為最好的地方或事物,并說(shuō)明原因。) II The analysis of the students
Class 5 is a group of students in Grade 8, who have some basis knowledge of English grammar in some way. However, they are not interested in grammar lesson, as they are afraid of learning it.
This theme of the lesson is about a hot TV show Super Brain.I use Task-based, Competition-approach and Student-centered Teaching Methods to make it more easier and interesting to review the usage of superlative step by step. To begin with the class, I’ll talk about a popular TV show Super Brain.And Zheng Linkai, who comes from Shantou Jinshan Middle School must finish 4 tasks in the TV show.And he needs our help. (通過(guò)當(dāng)下熱門(mén)綜藝節(jié)目《最強(qiáng)大腦》中一個(gè)來(lái)自汕頭金山中學(xué)的全球腦王---鄭林楷,由他必須完成的4個(gè)任務(wù)自然引入課堂。)
Step 2 Task One-- Knowledge Contest
Students need to stand up and answer the knowledge contest as quickly as possible.The quiz is related to some hot topics by using superlatives.It not only improves students’ common sense, but also leads in the usage of superlatives naturally.
(由鄭林楷的第一個(gè)任務(wù)--完成知識(shí)競(jìng)賽題目,通過(guò)學(xué)生站起來(lái)?yè)尨鸬囊?guī)則,最大程度的調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生的積極性,該題目是結(jié)合當(dāng)下熱點(diǎn)選取的最高級(jí)句子,從側(cè)面考察學(xué)生的常識(shí),也為接下來(lái)最高級(jí)的復(fù)習(xí)鋪墊。)
Step 3 Revision of superlatives
To present the sentences with pictures in the knowledge contest again. The sentences are becoming more and more difficult and students together talk about them by using superlatives.

Step 4 Task Two--Find out the rules of superlatives
Let students watch a micro lesson of superlatives. Then take notes and finish the mind map.(觀看微課《最高級(jí)英語(yǔ)微課堂》,總結(jié)出最高級(jí)的詞形變化和句型變化,并做好相關(guān)筆記。)
Step 5 Practice
To present some pictures with adjective or adverb words, let students talk about them quickly by using superlatives.

Step 6 Task Three-To do a survey about an amazing city
First, let students watch a short video of Amazing Shantou.Next, show more pictures about Shantou. Then, let them talk with their partners about the best places or things they like best and give out the reasons by using superlatives.
(首先讓學(xué)生觀看“海在城中央--中國(guó)汕頭”的城市宣傳片,直觀地呈現(xiàn)汕頭,老師呈現(xiàn)出更多關(guān)于汕頭的圖片,讓學(xué)生以對(duì)話形式討論最喜歡的地方或東西,并用最高級(jí)說(shuō)出原因。)
Step 7 Task Four--To write an invitation
Tell students the news that Shantou will be the host of the Asian Youth Game in 2021, and it is time for students to write an invitation to welcome people from all over the world and let them know more about Shantou by introducing it. The teacher leads students how to describe Shantou to others in some ways by using the mind map and lead them to add as many adjective words or phrases as they can to describe the elements. Then,let students work in groups and finish the invitation. Last, let them present the compositions with pictures to the whole class.

Step 8 Deep-thinking and emotional education
Let students have a discussion again. As a middle school student in Shantou, how will you try your best to make a difference to the Asian Youth Game in 2021?Then, let them have a talk with each other according to the pictures I gave them. After that, teacher tells students that the stronger the youth are, the better the country will be, and we should spare no effort to make ourselves better, to make our city better, to make our country better.
