Teaching Objectives
At the end of this part, students will be able to 1. master more words related to color; 2. talk about the color of different things;
3.apply what they have mastered into practice, perform the dialogue they made by themselves; 4. open their vision to know more about the culture of colors.
StepI. Warm-up& lead-in
Teacher does a magic trick. She asks four students to come to the stage. Students should do what the teacher does. Each student holds one bottle of purified water. Then grasp something magic in the air, and blow on it. Next shake the bottles. The purified water turns into different colors. 設(shè)計(jì)意圖:用魔術(shù)的形式,把五瓶純凈水變成不同顏色的水,激發(fā)學(xué)生強(qiáng)烈的興趣。在一片驚呼聲和好奇感中,順利引入今天的話題——顏色。
Step II. Presentation
1. Self-studying
Students learn new words by themselves. And finish 1a.
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:在教授新知之前,先讓學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí),勾畫難點(diǎn)。培養(yǎng)其自主學(xué)習(xí)能力。 2. Learn new words and key language.
Teacher teaches new words and key language. Then ask students to do the quick response. 設(shè)計(jì)意圖:在快速反應(yīng)環(huán)節(jié)中,學(xué)生能快速檢測(cè)自己對(duì)于新單詞的掌握情況。此環(huán)節(jié)比拼單詞熟練度和反應(yīng)力,氛圍很激烈,學(xué)生們很喜歡。
Step III. Suspension
1. Color Game
Teacher asks students to speak out the color of some Chinese color words. 設(shè)計(jì)意圖:此環(huán)節(jié)是快速反應(yīng)的升級(jí)版,進(jìn)一步幫學(xué)生鞏固色彩詞匯。
2. Listening practice
Teacher asks students to do the listening practice of 1b. 3. Pairwork & Groupwork
Teacher asks students to talk about the color of their own things with their partner or in their group.
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:此環(huán)節(jié)讓學(xué)生們開始真正用詞,開始造句,去自創(chuàng)情境,去接地氣的談?wù)撟约核鶎傥锲返念伾M瑫r(shí),學(xué)生可以根據(jù)自己的實(shí)際英語(yǔ)水平選擇展示形式。學(xué)生可以師徒結(jié)對(duì),兩兩對(duì)話,互幫互助。學(xué)生也可以選擇小組展示,團(tuán)隊(duì)協(xié)作,共同創(chuàng)設(shè)情境,進(jìn)行口語(yǔ)展示。
Step IV. Climax
Color the rainbow & Sing the song
Teacher asks students to color the rainbow by listening to a beautiful song. Then learn the song and sing the song.
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過(guò)播放有關(guān)顏色的歌曲,讓學(xué)生們辨認(rèn)顏色,選擇相應(yīng)顏色畫筆,填圖彩虹。通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)和演唱這首優(yōu)美的歌曲,進(jìn)一步幫助學(xué)生鞏固顏色詞匯。同時(shí),順便教授學(xué)生一句和彩虹有關(guān)鼓勵(lì)人心的名言:No matter how long the rain lasts, there will be a rainbow in the end. No matter how sad you may be, believe that happiness is waiting.
Step 5. Ending
Teacher asks students to watch a micro-course about the different culture between English color words and Chinese color words which was made by herself.
設(shè)計(jì)意圖:觀看老師自己制作的微課《中英色彩詞語(yǔ)差異》,進(jìn)一步打開學(xué)生的視眼,擴(kuò)充跨文化交際知識(shí),去了解更多有關(guān)中英色彩詞的差異和用法。
