一、Teaching material analysis
The content of this class is about Thanksgiving in the USA and how to make a turkey dinner. It is easy to arouse students’ interests. Because they are interested in special festivals and food. Besides, students have already laid foundation on this class. They are supposed to master reading ability and strengthen sequential words.

The students are in Grade Eight. They have learned English for more than two years. Therefore, they have laid a little foundation on it. And they are likely to learn English further. Students have learned some festivals before. It’s not difficult for them to learn Thanksgiving.

Students should guess the food according to the part of pictures showed. Then lead in Thanks giving and turkey.
Step Four Enjoy a video about Thanksgiving Day.
Before learning the thanksgiving, it is necessary to let them know about the origin of thanksgiving day and the main food on this day. Also they will have more interests in learning it. Step Five enjoy para one
