Unit 5 Why do you like pandas ?

Teacher : Wu Hui Ⅰ.Teaching objectives: a.Knowledge objectives:
(1) Key words: smart, beautiful, lazy, small, friendly, cute, scary, shy. (2) Key structures: --What animals do you like?
--I like tigers/… .Because they are friendly/… . b. Ability objectives:
(1)Train the students to use the target language to describe the animals freely. (2)Train the students’ listening and speaking skills with the target language. c. Emotion objectives: Students can use correct words to describe their favorite
animals, and let them know that the animals are people’s friends; We should love and protect them.
Ⅱ.Teaching important points:
a. Master description words and sentence patterns.
b. To give students practice in listening ,speaking and writing.
c. Students can express their own ideas about their favorite animals freely. Ⅲ. Teaching difficult points:
Students can use the structure to describe the animals and express preference and reasons freely.
Ⅳ.Teaching methods: Task-based teaching, Goup work, Listening,Writing. Ⅴ.Teaching aids: Multi-Media,PowerPoint, pictures. Ⅵ.Teaching procedures: Step 1 Greetings Step 2 Presentation
1. Listen and guess the names of the animals.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過聽動(dòng)物的聲音猜動(dòng)物的名字,以激趣的方式來復(fù)習(xí)鞏固已學(xué)動(dòng)物名稱。)
2. Lead-in.
a. Play a game. A:Do you like...?
B:Yes, I do./ No, I don't .
A:Why do you like/ Why don't you like...? B: Because they are ...
A:Let's see the ...
B:Why do you want to see them? A:Because they're....
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過“砸金蛋游戲”這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié),在復(fù)習(xí)上節(jié)課學(xué)過的重點(diǎn)句型
中過渡到今天的重要的形容詞學(xué)習(xí),在這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)中,通過分組表演形式來激趣,能讓學(xué)生更好的理解和掌握形容詞,為后面新學(xué)形容詞和句子做了更好的鋪墊。)
b. Watch videos.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過看大象和熊貓的小視頻,來過渡到今天新學(xué)的形容詞friendly,shy.)
c. 1a. Match the description words with the animals.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過此環(huán)節(jié)來理解和鞏固形容詞。)
d. Discussion.(1d)
Look at the pictures and discuss in groups. What animals do you like? Why?
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:在這個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)中,通過展示圖片,并使用采訪活動(dòng),來讓學(xué)生用所學(xué)過的字-詞-句來描述自己對(duì)動(dòng)物的喜愛及理由,更好的學(xué)習(xí)和鞏固本節(jié)課的重點(diǎn)句型。)
Step4 Listening
1. 1b. Listen and circle the description words you hear in 1a. 2. 1c. Listen again and fill in the chart.
(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:在學(xué)生之間能自由地交流自己喜愛的動(dòng)物后,再完成聽力任務(wù),相信能輕松的完成聽力教學(xué)目標(biāo)。)
