Unit3 I’m more outgoing than my sister.
Period 1 Section A 1a-2c
課型:聽說課(本節(jié)課為本單元第一課時) 教學目標:
1. 語言知識目標:
學生能夠通過聽說和任務(wù)完成,初步了解和認識形容詞和副詞比較級規(guī)則形式的構(gòu)成。 學生能夠通過在任務(wù)中歸納總結(jié)出兩者進行比較的句式結(jié)構(gòu),并能夠運用。 2. 情感態(tài)度價值目標:學生學會正視比較,悅納自己,欣賞同伴,共同成長。 教學重點:
1. 形容詞和副詞比較形式的構(gòu)成。 2. 表示兩者進行比較的句式結(jié)構(gòu)。 教學難點:
1. 形容詞和副詞比較形式的特殊情況。 2. 兩者進行比較的句式結(jié)構(gòu)的句型運用。 教學準備:
多媒體課件,單詞卡片, magic hat 教學過程: Step1 Lead-in
T: I have a sister too. My parents always compared me with her. It made me feel bad. Do your parents always compare you with others? T: With whom? S: ...
T: Sisters, brothers, friends, classmates, Xiao Ming next door. T: When comparing, what word do we always use? S: than
Step 2 Presentation 1. T: For example...
Show the pictures and compare them by “than”. Find the rules of comparative forms of the adjective and adverb and then finish the chart and point out how to add “-r” and how to double the final letter and add “-er”.
2. T: Now let’s have a try. I will hand out some cards to you and there are some adjectives and adverbs on the cards. Think about which line the word should be. If I say “-er”, the one who get the cards must come up to the board and stick it to the board as fast as you can.
The sudents try to find the right rule for his own words to get familiar with the rules and learn from the mistakes. Review the rules again.
Step 3 Listening
1. T: We have known about the rules of comparative forms. Now there are three pairs of twins in the picture. Then let’s have a omparation of them. Please listen to the tape and get the right words for the sentences. First... Second...Third...
2. T: Look at the sentences carefully and fill in the blanks of Task 4. Lead students to find the patterns of comparative sentences. 3. Check answers.
Step 4 Practice
1. T: So we can find the word “than” is everywhere in our life. Maybe you don’t like it, but if you try to see it in a different view, everything may change, just like the picture, an old woman to a beautiful lady, bad to good. In fact, if you change your view, the word “than” can make you better. And today Miss Ning got a hat. It can help you to become better. 2. Introduce the rule of Task 5 by asking and checking.
T: Now I say “I’m beautiful.” If you get the hat, what will you say? T: What should you do then? T: What should you say?
3. Students pass the hat to anyone in the classroom and practice the patterns of comparative sentences. At the same time he/ she can be more comfident. 4. Try to use the word on the screen.
Step 5 Listening Before listening
Practice the words on the board in a comparaive senences to conquer the new words. While Listening
T: These words on the board all discribe a pair of twins we have mentioned before. Guess who they are. S: ....
T: Great. They are Tara and Tina. Now listen to an interview and fill in the chart. T: Listen again and check answers by yourself. After listening
Let students to share their answers.
Step 6 Production
T: OK. We all get that the word “than” can make us find a better ourselves, and it can also can make us learn to appreciate others. So now here are eight group in our class. Every group can choose a number on the screen. You will find a name behind it. Please give him/her a thumb and talk about the reasons with your group. For Example, “... is great, because he is smarter than me.” The students work in groups to praise a person in differnent ways. Then make a report.

T: In this class, we learn an important words in our life. It’s ... S: Than
T: It is important because it can truely make us better. Now try your best toread and to do it. Read after the teacher and try to inner the rules, the patterns and the value of comparation.
