8A Unit 2 School life (Welcome to the unit) 
Analysis on teaching materials: This period focuses on dialogues, and words and expression of campus life. Pay attention to driving students to express the differences between British and American languages. By listening to, saying and reading, let the students know the school life. It’s easy for students to accept, and have an interest in it. Teachers are also relatively easy to activate the related knowledge of language. The course content is all from the student's daily life Students will be interested in this topic because of its fun and practicality, so they can use it at school. At the same time, this unit and the first unit of friends also complement each other, which will play a good role in preparing for the study of later periods. 
Analysis on learners: Students are familiar with secondary school life and interested in it, especially the differences between foreign high school students and the school life of their own. In China, Grade 8 students have completed all the subjects they have learned, so it is easier for them to accept English expressions on this basis. Teachers can use multimedia courseware in this class teaching process, in combination

1. Read and complete the dialogue. 2. Act out the dialogue. 
〖Purpose〗 Encourage students to act out the dialogue freely, practice their oral English and show their own ideas.  Step 4 Activity 1. Discuss in groups. What’s school life like? 
2. Show different opinions about school life. 
〖Purpose〗 Develop students’ cooperation ability and let them know the importance of study. Step 5 Sum up 1. What have we learned from the comic strip? 2. What should we do at school?  Step 6 Homework 
1. Read and recite the British words and American words in Part A.  2. Learn about the other differences between British words and American words.
